Who is the typical urban mom.   A woman working sometimes two jobs to make ends meet because we know without education our son doesn't have a chance.   I am afraid every time my baby boy walks out that.door to go to school.   These are dangerous streets for good kids trying to get an education. 

 

I know my son worries about how he's going to protect himself but we try not to discuss, because this is life in our urban community.   Our kids see violence on a daily basis.  The unemployment level is at 8% for the nation but 23% in urban areas.  This mean more people are on the street seeking to make a living to provide food and clothes for their families.  Platinum Minds gives me hope for a better future and for that I am eternally grateful.
